AmpChallenges This IG gives you a chance to share your story! You can be featured whether you are an arm amputee, leg amputee, new amputee, lifetime amputee, doesn’t matter! They want to share your story in order to inspire others in their journey of life as an amputee! The founders are Michael Assefa and us, Adaptive Amputees. Okay okay we had to start with our own plug, but how neat is that? Two amputees who work hard to share other’s stories! So go message them & share your story today!
AmputeeCoalition This IG is THE best account for resources! Their goal is to educate, support, and advocate. Pretty awesome! Plus they have all sorts of events and list ones that are close to you! They house the National Limb Loss Resource Center. This provides you a ton of information completely free of charge. Need to know how to change your bandages? What to do when your limb swells? Who to talk to when you’re having a bad day? They have all the answers. And if you can’t find yours just talk to their resource specialists (also, free of charge)!
ROMP Global This IG has amazing philanthropy! They are a non-profit organization that provides O&P care to those without access to these services! I was born in a small town in an impoverished country. I did not have the healthcare I needed to live a healthy life. I was brought to the US in order to get the healthcare I needed. This organization reaches out to those families who are in these sorts of situations. I donate all of my old parts to them and you can too! You can also participate in fun events to help fundraise!
Challenged Athletes Foundation This IG helps you become active! Let’s face it, insurance does not play fair. They make it difficult to get that very expensive adaptive athletic equipment. CAF provides grants and scholarships to physically challenged athletes. I have had many friends apply and get grants for bikes, blades, wet suits, etc!
Active Amputee This IG is a resource page from amputees for amputees. Bjoern is an above knee amputee who is quite active, but not in the sense most of us think of. He climbs mountains! His website shares all sorts of stories from many amputees, and covers a large array of topics! Go check it out 🙂

Hello I am looking for a site that can assist me with exercises. I am a below knee amputee this year, still getting used to a prosthetic . I am a male 66 yrs old.I lost over 100 lbs during my hospital stay, and would like to keep that off and shed maybe 30 more. That would put me down to 160 a good weight for a 5ft 8in male.
